  • Welcome to my blog!

Hi! I’m Kerri… I’m an engagement/bridal/wedding/senior/couples/family photographer located in Grapevine, Texas. Thanks for visiting my blog! You’ll find all of my latest work right here.

I love my family, hanging around the house by the fire, watching movies with my husband, playing ‘knock the blocks down that momma just spent five minutes stacking’ with my 2-year-old, or reading a good book (Dr. Seuss included). I am most comfortable in the country, with lots of space and trees. I love pastures and run-down barns. And I recently discovered I love browsing antiques! I guess you could say I love the pretty and the gritty, and you’ll see that in my pictures! I love bright colors, but there’s just something about a classic black and white portrait that is so very lovely and timeless.

I would love to be your photographer. I will listen to your vision, your likes, your loves, and we will work to make your session something that you will look at and think ‘gosh, that’s totally ME.’

Engaged – Ethan & Gayle

I met Gayle & Ethan for their engagement session back in February, and let me tell you… it had rained ALL weekend and it was cold.  Really cold.   But the sun came out for a few hours, and I am very happy with how it all turned out!  They were troopers:)

These two are so cute and so sweet!  They’re comfortable to be around and made my job easy.  They definitely complement each other, and I can tell they have such a great love for one another.  I’m anxiously anticipating their wedding day, I know it’ll be an amazing event and I’m so honored to get to participate!

It’s no wonder he makes her feel so safe and protected:)

At the end of the shoot we headed to the lake for some sunset pictures.

Leave of Absence

Hey everyone!  I need to make an announcement on here since Spring (and Summer… wow!) are rapidly approaching.  I am current pregnant with my second child (wahoo!).  For those that do not know me, I had my first child when he was only 25 weeks gestation.  He was a tiny little thing, but a fighter, that’s for sure!  Today he’s a happy, healthy, ca-ca-ca-razy 3 year old!  However, because of my pregnancy complications last time, I am going to have to be on very restricted activity for this pregnancy starting, well… starting right now, unfortunately.  I am not going to be able to do any photography until after the baby is born (hopefully that means several months because I need her to STAY PUT!).  I was hoping I could stretch out my photography sessions to sometime in May at least, but that doesn’t appear to be the case.

So… for the health and benefit of my unborn child (and me), I am going on indefinite leave.   My due date is August 10, if I can make it that long, so we’ll try and pick back up sometime after that.  I hope everyone has a very happy and blessed Spring/Summer!

Thanks:) xoxo – Kerri

Stuart & Carrie – Lone Oak Winery Wedding

Carrie & Stu – you are two of the greatest, sweetest, kindest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing.  Here’s to years and years of being perfect for each other!!  Your wedding was a brilliant start to your life together:)

Cheers!

Stephanie & CJ – Engaged!

Stephanie and CJ went to college together… even participated in social events together through their fraternity and sorority.  But romance didn’t blossom until years later.  Ahhhh the beauty of facebook  :)

There was one little problem… CJ lived in Houston and Stephanie lived in Dallas.  Wait, did I say that was a problem?  Because it apparently, it wasn’t.   Plane rides every weekend?  BRING IT.

Their relationship has grown and blossomed despite the miles between them, and they’re going to marry in just a few short months.  They are a beautiful couple, and they were such fun to work with!  You can just tell that they love each other.  And appreciate their time together.   And it seems to me that every minute spent together is an adventure.

Stephanie & CJ – Here’s to a lifetime of making memories!  :)

Amanda – Bridals!

Sister… I love you:) You’re beautiful!  Not just outwardly, but on the inside too.  I got so lucky when God blessed me with you as a best friend!
